Question and answer
What does it mean to have insurance? Why is it important to have insurance? What does it mean to not have insurance—how does it impact others in your life or your community?
People know the importance of health insurance, car insurance, life insurance, and home insurance; yet many people don?t realize the importance of renters insurance. Some people do not even know that renters insurance is an option. [ [ For example: When I first got married and dh and I were renting (this was the first time I'd lived away from home), I honestly didn't know anything about renters
insurance. My parents never told me anything, the apartment managers never mentioned anything... It wasn't until about 8 months later when we were switching our car insurance that the insurance agent mentioned it. I think we paid about $12 per month for $30,000 coverage. (We just had a tiny apartment and not really anything valuable, so figured that was enough.) I won't ever go without it again as long as we're renting. You just never know what might happen. ] ]

User: What does it mean to have insurance?

Weegy: Getting insurance is all about financial security and finding the best way for you to gain that security. This is why insurance companies such as Optivest, Liberty Life and AllAfrica.com exist. [ The definition of insurance is an agreement to compensate against loss, damage or injury. Of course, you have to make some sort of contribution if you are going to be compensated. The biggest problem that most people have is finding the best insurance policy to suit their individual needs and it is not as difficult as it sounds. The key is to research! ]
