Micosoft® Access® is often more efficient than Microsoft® Excel® when constructing databases. Explain why a customer using Microsoft® Excel® may want to use Microsoft® Access® as an alternative. How would you explain usage of data between both applications to users?
Weegy: Microsoft excel users may want to use access just because of the fact it is a data base and its so similar to excel in how it looks and runs. in my previous posts i talked about how microsoft office is made to work together. [ [ Microsoft Access is very popular among non-programmers who can create visually pleasing and relatively advanced solutions on their own. It is also easy to place a database on a network and have multiple users share and update data without overwriting each other s work. Data is locked at the record level which is significantly different from Excel which locks the entire spreadsheet. Microsoft Access is the better choice for constructing a database. Access also provides useful tools to manage and maintain a database; where Excel does not. Databases such as microsoft sql server can be difficult to learn and most users probably only need the functions of a simple database. i know personally microsoft sql server was tough for me at times to learn. Another point that i think would be a advantage is the extensive help? that comes with the software. you can figure out pretty much anything you need to know. ] ] (More)
