Sam is 5 years old. His older brother, Tom, is three times as old as Sam. When Sam is 20, how old will Tom be?
Tom is 3 times as old as Sam = 3 x 5 = 15. So he is 10 years older than Sam. So when Sam is 20, Tom will be 30 years old.
