User: Why did slavery continue after the Revolution? (1 point)

Weegy: African American slavery, indentured servitude of poorer people of all colors occurred after the Revolution because slavery was still legal, and though of as a way of life. [ It did NOT Just occur among African Americans, however, this was the most prevalent form in America. The idea of slaves and slavery was engrained in the culture and had little to do with skin color....what the founding fathers were more concerned with was the classes...which is still apparent in Europe today. People could keep slaves regardless of class...with some slave owners being poorer than some slaves owned by the rich! Slaves were seen as a different thing all together, outside of human. ]
