Q: Solve the equation. 3a+b=10 & 2a+4b=0
A: 3a + b = 10 2a + 4b = 0 (3a + b = 10) * (4): 12a + 4b = 40 (2a + 4b = 0) - (12a + 4b = 40): -10a = -40 a = -40/-10 a = 4 3(4) + b = 10 12 + b = 10 b = 10 - 12 b = -2 Solution set: (4, -2)

3a + b = 10
2a + 4b = 0

(3a + b = 10) * (4):
12a + 4b = 40

(2a + 4b = 0) - (12a + 4b = 40):
-10a = -40
a = -40/-10
a = 4
3(4) + b = 10
12 + b = 10
b = 10 - 12
b = -2

Solution set: (4, -2)
