Can you defined Global Warming?
Weegy: "global warming" is defined as a gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth's atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, CFCs, and other pollutants. User: Describe briefly the theory behind man-caused global warming. Include a list of some of the gases that are believed to contribute to global warming. Weegy: The theory behind man-caused global warming is basically all about the burning fossil fuels releases carbon dioxide (CO2) that has been stored away underground for millions of years. [ This adds extra CO2 that the normal carbon cycle can't move out of the atmosphere. Deforestation has removed millions of trees all over the world that used to absorb and store carbon. All this means that the atmosphere is overloaded with greenhouse gases which are warming the earth. This global warming is causing climate change.Greenhouse gases absorb the heat, and release some of it back onto Earth, increasing the surface temperature. There have always been greenhouse gases in our atmosphere, but with the start of the industrial period (1750s), the amount of it in our atmosphere has increased proportionally. Most common greenhouse gases: Water vapour, CO2, Nitrous oxide, ozone and methane (about a third of which is released from the belch of a cow). mrwhat.is/describe-briefly-the-theory-behind-man-caused... ] User: Describe briefly the theory behind man-caused global warming. What are the causes of increased greenhouse gases in the atmosphere?
Weegy: Causes of increasing greenhouse gases: Burning fossil fuels, thus releasing into the atmosphere carbon that has been safely stored for millions of years by burning coal, [ oil and natural gas for transport and electricity. An enormous demand for electricity. The growing population of the earth all want cars, refrigerators, air-conditioning and a double garage. Most electricity is generated by burning coal. A constant and growing demand for red meat. Cattle belch out methane, a toxic greenhouse gas, much more dangerous than carbon dioxide. More and more forests and bushland, which absorb carbon dioxide from the air, are being cut down so more cattle can graze. A reduction in the planet's ability to remove greenhouse gases from the atmosphere. The earth has natural sources of carbon dioxide (a greenhouse gas), and has had long before mankind began altering the environment, but the earth has natural means to actually remove some greenhouse gases from the atmosphere, especially carbon dioxide which is removed by plants (especially dense, tall forests) through photosynthesis. Global deforestation by mankind means not only have we increased the output of greenhouse gases, but we have also significantly reduced the ability of earth to reduce at least one of the greenhouse gases. ] (More)

What is the evidence that global warming is a real process caused by humans and occurring right now?
Weegy: Well let us start with the evidence in the link provided by Derecho. Svante Arrhenius was famous for rewarding friends and drinking buddies with Nobel prizes while keeping excellent scientists from even being considered by the committee. [ Also he was the key developer of the theory of Eugenics that Hitler used to justify the way he treated the Jewish people and also the southern Democrats used his work to keep the colored minorities down. A very dishonest and highly despicable example of greed and corruption in science. This man deliberately formulated an experimental procedure that would produce test samples which would falsely blame co2 the gas of life as a killer gas. One of the worst examples of corruption in the scientific community until James Hansen came along. ] (More)
