Q: Solve the system of linear equations below. x + y = 4 2x + 3y = 0
A: x + y = 4 2x + 3y = 0 x = -y + 4 2(-y + 4) + 3y = 0 -2y + 8 + 3y = 0 y + 8 = 0 y = -8 x - 8 = 4 x = 4 + 8 x = 12 Solution set: (12, -8)

x + y = 4
2x + 3y = 0
x = -y + 4
2(-y + 4) + 3y = 0
-2y + 8 + 3y = 0
y + 8 = 0
y = -8
x - 8 = 4
x = 4 + 8
x = 12
Solution set: (12, -8)
