Question and answer
Q: Which characteristic of living things is important to the survival of a group of animals rather than an individual member of this group? Why?
A: our wording is ambiguous...if you mean by 'the survival of a group' the continued existence of a species and your question therefore reads.... "Which characteristic of living things is important to the survival of a species rather than an [ individual member of this species ? Why ?"... The drive to reproduce. Clearly without this, the species is doomed. ]
