Question and answer
discuss the characteristics and importance of a thesis statement
A strong thesis statement sets up the reader to want to read it and not just need to read it. Explanation. You need to identify the reason for the thesis and the approach you are going to take. Short. [ You need to not burden the reader with so much information that they stop wanting to read it. Precise. That is different that short. The reader needs to get the information that they need to
understand where the thesis is going to go. Exciting. By this I mean the reader must be encouraged to care about reading the thesis. Compelling. You want the reader to be interested enough to read the whole thing. ]
