you are working as a human service worker at a local united way agency that serves several multicultural clients. in addition to the multicultural aspect, the agency also serves children, women, the elderly, and the homeless. what would you need to learn or know about each of your clients in order to communicate effectively with them?
Weegy: You would need to know something about each of those cultures. It would be helpful if you knew a little of the language as well. Once you got down to the individual client level, you would need to know the best communication medium for each of them. [ Some people are great listeners but don't read well, others like to read things and mull over them at leisure in order to understand them. Still others work better with illustrated material than they do with straight text. You would need to know something about their personal background, to help assess their needs, and you would want to know something about their goals, in order to help them reach those goals. ] (More)
