User: What if an Internet search engine limited results to one political viewpoint or another? Would that be legal? Ethical?
Note: Censorship directed at political opposition to the ruling government is common in authoritarian and repressive regimes. [ Some countries block web sites related to religion and minority groups, often when these movements represent a threat to the ruling regimes. Where I live, in the United States, there's freedom of speech and therefore people are allowed to post any political viewpoint they have online without being censored. ]

Weegy: Ethical internet use, is a way of using the internet in ways that are ethical. Such as using the internet to do good, instead of bad. There is some black & white thinking to this approach, however.

Weegy: That's how they make their money.... they get paid to have certain results pop up in a certain order or even to keep specific issues from popping up such as the 99% movement. [ Did you notice how little media that movement got from the major media even though throughout most of the country even in towns with fewer than 50,000, people were picketing. most the time we are completely unaware. the financial and political rulers can choose what we see even in web search results when they choose.
