Section 2 looks at some specific behaviours that challenge us within dementia care and offers some practical solutions based on the theories described. Section 3 offers some solutions and tools to help when supporting someone with dementia and minimising distressful behaviours and situations. ]

One of the different techniques that can be used to meet the fluctuating abilities and needs of the individual with dementia is knowing the persons background , by doing so one would precisely understand the behaviour of the person hence be able to plan a care and support to be able to meet the person specific needs.
Building up an stable and familiar environment , makes a person with dementia feels comfortable rather than having a routine and an environment constantly changing. Lastly provide specific support.
