Weegy: "Not loving oneself" is not respecting oneself and being self-centered. I think it would show if the person was unloving and self-centered to you. therefore, you would not trust them, when they say I love you. If they actually do love themselves (not talking about low confidence or body image) you would know, and you can tell if the love is real and finally you would trust them. Though popular, it's a very very very vague saying, the meaning is for the individual. If the person loves him/her too much, that's also being boastful and selfish.
