How much does a bearded dragon eat every day?Weegy:
A baby bearded dragon should be fed twice a day (morning and afternoon) and you should let them eat as many as they wish in the space of 5-10 minutes. An adult beardie will only need feeding once a day and again, offer as many as they wish to eat in the space of 5-10 minutes.
A beardie's diet changes as they grow - a baby beardie will need to eat more livefood than greens (though always have some in their tank), but the older they get the more the greens make up their daily diet.
Livefood needs to be dusted 5 days a week with calcium dust and nutrobal or multi-vitamins on the other 2 days.
Fresh greens should be provided daily - mustard greens, collard greens and turnip greens being the best thing for him. Here is a great site that shows you the nutritional value of each food for beardies http://www.beautifuldragons.503xtreme.com/Nutrition.html
Sometimes beardies get bored of their diet, so it's a good idea to offer variety - this can be given by alternating between crickets and other good feeders such as dubia roaches, locusts, silk worms and phoenix worms. Waxworms can be offered as a treat on occasion, but not as a staple diet due to their high fat content.
Please ignore what the previous poster said about mealworms and pinky mice. Mealworms are not good for beardies as they have a hard chitinous shell which is difficult for them to digest and if they are fed to a beardie too often it could lead to impaction. Pinky mice should NEVER be fed to a bearded dragon. Mice have a high fat content and the bones are difficult to digest.Auto Answered|Score 1Weegy:
