User: How do managers at different levels apply the four functions of management?

Weegy: The four functions of management are planning, organizing, leading, and controlling, [ and managers at different levels use these four functions to manage a business successfully. All of the four functions of management are similar because they are effective and efficient means of managing a new business or established corporation, and they will help a business reach its goals. These functions are similar because they work together to achieve success. Planning is a time of critical and creative thinking where situations are investigated, and goals, strategies and the resources needed to complete goals and implement strategies are determined. Planning is an important part of management because goals can only be accomplished through planning. Organizing is when gathering everything needed is done; this includes people, materials, money, information, and any other important resources. This function sets the stage for goals to be achieved, and it organizes all resources in a way where they work together. ]

How do you think management has evolved?
Weegy: Prior to Unions people from all over the world were enticed to come to America and prosper. What companies were looking for were uneducated people. [ It was a plus if they could not speak English this way they would be shown what to do and could not complain. If they slowed down or got hurt they were disposed of. Management in the beginning of the industrial revolution used the theory of dehumanizing. This type of disposable people and dehumanization continues in other countries and where our jobs are being sent. Repetitive motion and no regard for the employees. The Union came along and changed that. The people found that collectively they could demand rights. Managment had to adapt to working with the Union. Management functioned on a heiarchy top level management of CEO Chief Executive Officer, CFO Chief Financial Officer these people establish the goals of the company and have a lower level of management that carry out these goals through the use of employees. The middle management use rank and file to complete the tasks set forth to carry out the goals of the upper management. Some recent studies have turned the hiearchy of management upside down placing more value on the employees that represent the company to the public useful in service industry. Power has been given to the lowest level employees to make decisions, solve problems and do what is necessary to keep customers satisfaction up. Another evolution of management is the shear size of companies. Many companies have locations around the country and some around the world. This newer company must address distance and communication issues. The global competition, on-line competition. Many new issues arise with global trade language, currency and law barriers. source: yahoo ] User: what is the role of management today? Weegy: hi, what weegy question do you have?
