let x = first number;

let y = second number;

x + y = 20;

x - y = 14;

2x = 34;

x = 34/2;

x = 17;

17 + y = 20;

y = 20 - 17;

y = 3;

x = 17; y = 3;

17 + 3 = 20;

17 - 3 = 14

let x = first number;

let y = second number;

x + y = 20;

x - y = 14;

2x = 34;

x = 34/2;
