Question and answer
You notice that your accounts receivable days outstanding have doubled in the last 6 months. Do you give someone a bonus or put him or her on Probation?
If the Accounts receivable days outstanding is doubled, then put someone on probation. It is best to have a low number when it comes to AR days outstanding.

User: Can you give me more information on why it is better to have the lower number when it comes to AR days?

Weegy: If you can collect those Accounts Receivables in the shortest possible time, you can make use of the funds for some other purposes, rather than waiting for it to be collected. [ The asset is there but you cannot make use of it unless you sell your AR or collect it. ]
