Question and answer
What is the difference between errors affecting truth and errors affective validity?
Errors that affect validity are much harder to discern unless you are privvy to the inside information of EVERYTHING that went on in the process. If I conduct a study and report that of 15,000 people contacted, the King's approval rate is at 100%, [ that is the TRUTH of the matter. HOWEVER, if you dig into it, I may have only contacted the 15,000 members of the King's family and closest
supporters from his home town, which calls the validity into account. Another validity error is when you draw a correlation when there isn't one. If you push 10,000 people off a cliff, and when they are 3' from the bottom you snap them in the butt with a rubber band, you note that 100% of them died. A validity error would be to say that if you snap a person in the butt with a rubber band, they will die because of the correlation shown in your study. There may be a relationship (all the dead bodies had a tiny bruise on their butt), but it isn't a cause/effect correlation. Truth errors are like when a bill goes before Congress that will give lots of money to blind nuns and orphans - AND make it legal to gouge out people's eye on the street. A political advert will say, "My opponent voted to deny nuns and orphans the money they need!!!" which is a truth error. Yes, he may have voted against it - but to prevent people from losing eyeballs. Don't laugh at this example - it happens ALL the time in the US!! ]

how does each type of practical and emotional intelligence is important in the workplace
Weegy: An employee with high emotional intelligence can manage his or her own impulses, communicate with others effectively, manage change well, solve problems, and use humor to build rapport in tense situations. [ These employees also have empathy, remain optimistic even in the face of adversity, and are gifted at educating and persuading in a sales situation and resolving customer complaints in a customer service role. This "clarity" in thinking and "composure" in stressful and chaotic situations is what separates top performers from weak performers in the workplace. when it comes to successful job performance a high level of practical intelligence may be even more important than an abundance of academic intelligence. In contrast with academic knowledge, which is acquired through formal instruction, practical knowledge refers to the acquisition through experience of practical know-how in situations where information is not openly expressed, Dr. Colonia-Willner says. In a workplace setting, that could mean getting a sense of how a particular department or division operates - its internal dynamics, the interplay of various personalities, the similarities and differences of people's working styles - without having to be told. ] (More)

What are the differences between anxiety disorders, somatoform disorders, and mood disorders? Provide two examples for each one.
Weegy: An anxiety disorder is a mental disorder that is manifested by abnormal fear or anxiety in response to various stimuli. An example is generalized anxiety disorder which is persistent fear or worry about everyday matters. [ Other examples are panic disorder, social anxiety, and obsessive compulsive disorder. A somatoform disorder is also a mental disorder but it is characterized by physical symptoms. These physical problems cannot be explained through medical tests. Individuals who suffer from somatoform disorders often have excessive fear and anxiety about their health since it cannot be explained by medical doctors. One example is hypochondriasis which is when the person in convinced something is wrong with their health, ranging from minor to extreme matters. Another example is conversion disorder, which is when an individual suffers from something extreme such as blindness or paralysis, without a physiological explanation. A mood disorder is another mental disorder, characterized by a disturbance in the individual's mood. Examples include major depressive disorder and bipolar disorder. Both of these disorders cause extreme changes in mood (extreme depression for the former and ranges of depression and mania in the latter). ] User: Explain two definitions of abnormal behavior. Compare the differences between the psychoanalytic, behavioral, and cognitive perspectives on abnormality Weegy: What do you mean by "abnormality"? Im assuming you mean "abnormal psychology" - that is, technically speaking, people with mental disorders. There is absolutely no way you can answer this question on here. No chance. [ You could write a 6000 word essay and still possibly not get anywhere in fully comparing the differences. But a starter...or the general gist: Psychoanalytic - would explain mental disturbances through past family experiences (usually between age 0-5 - problems in certain stages of development - your looking at freud probably here as a starting ...
