describes ways they can ensure the environment promotes well being in adult social care?
Weegy: Health promotion is rarely the responsibility of one agency working on its own. Weegy: You need to show that, 1 you respect the dignity and privacy of individuals and key people All staff should be aware of individuals? care plans to ensure that the person you are assisting is being supported appropriately to promote their [ rights, [ respect, dignity, choices, that take into consideration their culture, beliefs and preferences. When supporting service users it is good practice to promote independence were possible taking into account the level of support the person needs therefore they do not receive inadequate support or too much that will de-skill them. 2 you treat and value each person as an individual and ensure that the support you give takes account of the their needs and preferences After supporting a service user in personal care he needs assistance and support in dressing and personal grooming I started by asking what clothes he would like to wear and he replied a new shirt I explained that he had not got any new shirts and gave him a choice of clothes he could wear taking them out of the wardrobe. I did this to promote his rights to make informed choices and decision making without trying to influence him. I used this method because the service user can not move around freely and is unsteady on his feet. He dresses with support from one member of staff while sitting on his bed for safety and this is what he feels comfortable with. He chose to wear some denim jeans, green tee shirt. I supported him by applying deodorant helping to shave him and cleaned his teeth all with 3 you work with individuals and key people in ways that provide support that is consistent with individuals' beliefs, culture, values and preferences. ] (More)
