Marriage is also a method, which is cultural tradition is passed on to the children of the participants. In addition, marriage is serves a means of creating extended families combining the Kin of the individuals. Monogamy is the practice of having one spouse at on time. In some cases monogamy means having one spouse in a life time span. Out of the different types of marriages in the world, monogamy is the only one that is a legal in the United States and in the most international nations. Polygamy is the practice of multiple marriages. This marriage patterns in which individual are married to more than one person at a time. In additional there are two different types of marriage of Polygamy which is Polygyny and Polyandry. Polygyny is the practice of a man having more than one wife at a time or sexual partner at a time and it is most common in Polygamy. Polyandry is the practice that is less common in Polygamy, which involves a woman having multiple husbands. Ghost marriages are taken place when a wealthy or influential male member in the village dies without any living children. A woman will then marry the ghost at a ceremony, usually with the brother the deceased as a stand-in. The wives are then to be married to the ghost of the man and then can have his child. Arrange marriage is a relationship established by the parents or the other interested in the parties often without their children's knowledge. ]
