Question and answer
Describe how Philip of Macedonia was able to unite the Greek city-states. What were some of the actions that he took and policies that he created?
Philip provided his Macedonian solders in the phalanx with sarissa, a spear which was long 6 meters, about 18 feet. [ The sarissa, when held upright by the rear rows of the phalanx (there were usually eight rows), helped hide maneuvers behind the phalanx from the view of the enemy. When held horizontal by the front rows of the phalanx, it was a brutal weapon for people could be run through from
20 feet away.Philip made the military a way of life for the Macedonian men. It became a professional occupation that paid well enough that the soldiers could afford to do it year-round, unlike in the past when the soldiering had only been a part-time job, something the men would do during the off peak times of farming. This allowed him to count on his man regularly, building unity and cohesion among his men. source: ]

how did the qin dynasty fall from power
Weegy: Reasons Qin Dynasty Fall 1.The First Emperor, who created Qin Dynasty, hold too much power alone. [ so when Qin Dynasty faced troubles after his death, there was no one who could replace the mighty emperor to solve the situation 2.Qin Dynasty tried too many radical policies to creat one united China(when I said united, it ain't just political/social unification but also unification of culture, economics, language, and way to think) So Qin eventually contributed to the birth of China(before Qin, China was devided by various nations and culture just like Europe is now), but its wat to achieve the purpose too radical for people to take. Unlike Qin, Han dynasty could succeed to last because it took mild ways. 3.When we look at the ancient China, the part that Qin originally ruled was only 10~20% of the whole China. The part that Qin conquered was not just bigger than Qin, but also had more advanced civilization. So when Qin's army and governors could do their job, Qin could not do anything but to fall - - - - - - - - - - I guess you could think of Qin Dynasty as France during Napoleonic era. It had better army, beureocracy, and political system than other nations at the time. So it could expand even though it was inferior when it was compared to the last part of the continent combined. Plus, Qin made great contribution to history just like Napoleon France did. It can be said that Qin created CHINA and gave it the foundation. But it had weakness and limit from its begining, and fell by people it conquered. ] (More)
