A batch of salad dressing requires 1 2/3 cups of olive oil, 1/2 cup of vinegar, and 3/4 cup of water. This recipe will produce (B.) 2 11/12 cups of salad dressing.
Working: Convert all the fractions into twelfths (because 12 is the smallest figure which can be divided by 3, 2, and 4).
1 2/3 + 1/2 + 3/4 = 1 8/12 + 6/12 + 9/12 = 35/12 = 2 11/12
