A: Butter the outsides of the bread and put cheese between the two slices. Fry both sides until golden brown.

A classic grilled cheese is usually made with white bread. You butter one side of both slices of bread. The classic is made with american cheese, but you can choose any cheese you want. Put the bread on the griddle, butter side down, and grill until bread is crispy and the cheese is melted.
