A: William Shakespeare’s Hamlet has an external conflict of man vs. man. Hamlet is told by his father’s ghost that Claudius, Hamlet’s uncle, murdered him. Hamlet seeks to avenge his father’s death by murdering his uncle. [ Claudius becomes aware of Hamlet’s change in behavior and orders Polonius to spy on the Queen’s conversation with her son, Hamlet. ]
