Gallbladder Resection is Gallbladder removal or a Cholecystectomy. It is the most common method for treating symptomatic gallstones. Surgical options include the standard procedure, called laparoscopic cholecystectomy, and an older more invasive procedure, called open cholecystectomy. - - -
