[ [ Daisy is a woman who likes to play with men (13,1.3), she loves to exagorate and extemporize. Most men are fascinated by her (13,1.5), and Daisy enjoys being the center of attention (15,1.9). What is the principle of life insurance? Why do people buy life insurance? What are the benefits of universal life insurance, and what are the possible drawbacks of this type of policy? Why would comparing only the cost of life insurance coverage not be a completely valid approach to determining the best policy?
Weegy: Life insurance requires the principle of insurable interest. The person who is insured under the contract must have some kind of personal relationship to the policyholder. [ In order to purchase insurance on the life of another person, you must have a personal and economic interest in the other person's life. A person buying life insurance on the life of a stranger is doing nothing more than investing in the other person's death. Life insurance companies would not be able to accurately predict mortality rates if this was allowed to occur, and if their contracts were allowed to be used for unethical or illegal purposes, such as buying a life insurance policy on someone and killing them or having them killed. Weegy: Lastly, from a legal standpoint, an insurance contract (policy) transfers a risk, for a premium (consideration), from one party (the policyowner) to another party (the insurer). • What are the benefits of universal life insurance, and what are the possible drawbacks of this type of policy?
Weegy: Universal life insurance (often shortened to UL) is a type of permanent life insurance. The policy is established with the insurer where premium payments above the cost of insurance are credited to the cash value of the policy. [ The cash value is credited each month with interest, and the policy is debited each month by a cost of insurance (COI) charge, as well as any other policy charges and fees which are drawn from the cash value, even if no premium payment is made that month. The interest credited to the account is determined by the insurer; sometimes it is pegged to a financial index such as a stock, bond or other interest rate index. Many people use life insurance, and in particular cash value life insurance, as a source of benefits to the owner of the policy (as opposed to the death benefit which provides benefit to the beneficiary). These benefits include loans, withdrawals, collateral assignments, split dollar agreements, pension funding, and tax planning. ] (More)
