Question and answer
Q: Why was Russia unhappy with the results of the Treaty of Versailles? a. It was ordered to pay reparations. c. It was not given land, which it claimed in China. b. It was left out of the
peace talks. d. It was divided into colonies, rather than a free independent nation.
A: Why was Russia unhappy with the results of the Treaty of Versailles? The treaty that Germany gave to them (the treaty of Brest Litovsk) was much more harsh than the Treaty of Versailles. -Russia didn't get anything out of the Treaty of Versailles, [ though this is reasonable as they'd surrendered due to the change from the Tsarist regime to Communism (Lenin and co. believed that this was a
capitalist war, so didn't want to get involved. Therefore, to be involved in the reparations would seem a bit of a cheek and would surely go against the anti-capitalist ideology anyway. ]
