User: 9.   What is the purpose of the following sentence? I think it would be best to study the problem carefully.      A. It makes a statement. B. It gives a command. C. It raises a questions. D. It shows strong emotion.

User: 10.   In which sentence do you find subject-verb agreement?      A. Where is your keys to my car? B. Farley or Farley's brother is helping me with the project. C. If you look carefully, you'll see tomatoes is on that aisle. D. Neither the clarinets nor the trumpets plays the melody correctly.

Weegy: The answer is B. Farley or Farley's brother is helping me with the project. All of the other ones are plural nouns with singular verbs. Here is why: On answer A, the clarinets and the trumpets are both plural, and plays is a singular verb. [ On answer C, is happens to be singular and keys is obviously plural. On answer D, there is more than one tomato, so it is plural, but is happens to be a singular verb. So, B is the correct answer. On answer B, Either Farley or Farley's brother is going to help. Either way, it will only be one brother, so it needs a singular verb. That is why B is correct! We went over this in class the other day, and I completely understood. Hope that helps! Thank you for using Weegy and have a great day! [smile] ]

User: (1) To James, good form came above all else. (2) Therefore, on being introduced to Lady Weathers, he bowed, took her hand, and kissed it lightly. (3) Then, glancing upward at Lady Weathers's face, he saw a look of consternation. (4) Blushing with embarassment, James noticed the morsel of green on the back of her hand. (5) Gasping out awkward apologies, James excused himself and rushed to the restroom. (6) Gazing into the mirror, he discovered bits of parsley on his front teeth. (7) Frowning with disgust, James saw he had been made a fool of by an ineptly consumed canapé. (8) "Well," he thought to himself, "Tommorow is another day." (9) But, from that day, he realized that good form was best tempered by caution or, at least, a wiser choice of finger food. 13.   Which two sentences contain misspelled words?      A. Sentences 6 and 8 B. Sentences 7 and 8 C. Sentences 4 and 8 D. Sentences 2 and 4

Weegy: The answer is A. Sentence 6 and 8 contain misspelled words. (6) Gazing into the mirror, he discovered bits of parsley on his front teeth. [ and (8) "Well," he thought to himself, "Tommorow is another day." In the 6th Sentence there had to be an "in" rather than an "on" his front theeth. And in the 8th sentence "Tomorrow" was spelled wrong. ]
