The producers at the beginning of Earth's food chain are _____. carnivores plants proteins herbivores
Weegy: The Earth's food chain starts with plants. User: ______ regulate enzyme activity in metabolic pathways. Weegy: Metabolic enzymes refer to various substances within the body that carry out a variety of functions. In short, they are a major component in the reproduction and replenishment of cells. User: glycolysis Weegy: True, No part of glycolysis requires oxygen. These steps occur with, or without, the presence of oxygen. User: Krebs cycle Weegy: During the Krebs cycle, ONLY ONE ATP is produced per pyruvate. This means that 2 total are produced during the Krebs cycle when both pyruvic acids have gone through. [ 32 (up to 34) ATP is produced during the electron transport chain, which follows the Krebs cycle. ] User: electron transport chain (More)

Glycolysis is the cellular process by which glucose is converted into pyruvate. A cell then makes a choice: it can convert pyruvate to lactate, which exits the cell, for a net yield of 2 ATP molecules (the currency of cellular energy transfer) or, in the presence of oxygen, the pyruvate can enter cellular organelles called mitochondria and become fully oxidized, producing a net yield of more than 30 ATP molecules.

coevolution
Weegy: In biology, coevolution is "the change of a biological object triggered by the change of a related object", and can occur at many biological levels: it can be as microscopic as correlated mutations between amino acids in a protein, or as macroscopic as covarying traits between different species in an environment.
