Locusts are part of a large group of insects commonly called grasshoppers which have big hind legs for jumping. Locusts belong to the family called Acrididae. Locusts differ from grasshoppers in that they have the ability to change their behaviour and habits and can migrate over large distances.

While they're in the same general class of insects, there are some differences:
Crickets are mostly nocturnal (active at night) and grasshoppers are diurnal (active in the day). Because of this, crickets use their song to communicate in order to find females and warn off other males. Grasshoppers call in the day also but tend to be located high in the vegetation to see and be seen by other grasshoppers.
Grasshoppers blend into the grass, but they also often have brightly colored under wings that they flash when they make short flights from place to place and also make noise when they do this. Crickets then to be dark to blend into the shadows or are pale green or brown to blend into the vegetation. The wings of a cricket are either absent or atrophied and they don't fly.
Crickets have longer antennae than grasshoppers.
The ears of a cricket are located in its legs and a grasshopper's are in its abdomen

Because they have huge fusion reactors in their cores releasing a tremendous amount of energy.Stars are giant balls of glowing gas. Stars shine because the gas inside them is so hot that a process called "nuclear fusion" takes place.

Weegy experts, why don't you read the questions properly before blurting with nonsensical answers?

I couldn't agree more, but sometimes they are so if there is a key phrase or word the question or statement might get a random answer. That is not our fault, but I do believe that every expert should offer sound answers and advice not off the wall stuff, like some of the autoanswers can get. Lol.

Now that we have access to space, the easiest way to prove the Earth is spherical is to leave it and view it from a distance. Astronauts and space probes have done just that. Every picture of Earth ever taken shows only a circular shape, and the only geometric solid which looks like a circle from any direction is a sphere.

One of the oldest proofs of the Earth's shape, however, can be seen from the ground and occurs during every lunar eclipse. The geometry of a lunar eclipse has been known since ancient Greece. When a full Moon occurs in the plane of Earth's orbit, the Moon slowly moves through Earth's shadow. Every time that shadow is seen, its edge is round. Once again, the only solid that always projects a round shadow is a sphere.
