Let h be the height of the triangle, its base is (h + 6).
Area = 1/2*(h + 6)*h = 20
h(h + 6) = 40
h^2 + 6h - 40 = 0
(h + 10)(h - 4) = 0
h = -10 or h = 4.
The height of the triangle is 4cm and the base is 10cm.
