A friend approaches you for advice. She is debating about whether she should break up with her boyfriend of 5 years. What types of questions would you use as you talk with her to help her make a decision based on critical thinking rather than emotion? Why are questions such a valuable aspect of critical thinking?
Critical thinking involves logical thinking and reasoning including skills such as comparison, classification, sequencing, cause/effect, patterning, webbing, analogies, deductive and inductive reasoning, forecasting, planning, hypothesizing, [ [ [ and critiquing. ] ] In my opinion such questions are valuable to the individual as they help to put things into perspective, and give valid
