The solution set for 5x + 4y = 12, 3x - 3y = 18 is {x = 4, y = -2}.
(5x + 4y = 12) * 3:
15x + 12y = 36;
(3x - 3y = 18) * 5:
15x - 15y = 90;
(15x - 15y = 90) - (15x + 12y = 36):
-27y = 54;
y = 54/-27;
y = -2;
5x + 4(-2) = 12;
5x - 8 = 12;
5x = 12 + 8;
5x = 20;
x = 20/5;
x = 4
