Question and answer
Q: Describe dilemmas that may arise between the duty of care and individuals rights?
A: Common Law dictates that we all have a duty of care, examples of managing the consequences of avoiding prosecution under this precedent might be for those driving on our public roads to drive more carefully, [ or for those messing about in public or private places to avoid carrying out activities where injury might occur from their actions there are obviously many examples in our communities
where acting in a reasonable manner will avoid breaking that duty of care. But! What happens if you are a paramedic and you have to give life saving first aid to some one with 'aids' there may be a paradox here where the paramedic has to put himself in a position where he/she may cause themselves injury. Is it reasonable to expose yourself to injury to save some one else? ]
