[ Investigate - don't take what officials say at face value, but realize that eyewitness accounts - for example - should pass some type of litmus test and not just be tossed out in an attempt to scoop the competition. 3. Respect - in case of deaths/ongoing crisis, that the producer/editor thinks, "what if I was a family member relying on my medium for information," error on the side of caution. 4.
